iOS 12: The big Performance SCAM compared to iOS 11.4

iOS 12's performance has been compared with that of iOS 11.4 to show us that Apple's promises regarding great performance are not up to expectations.

iOS 12 Performance Comparison iOS 11.4

iOS 12 was launched by the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), with the promise that it will perform much, much better thanks to some internal changes made by the company. We are talking about reductions of up to half the time needed to access applications, or 50% reduction of the time needed to display the keyboard for writing.

Well, in the video clips below, you can see how performance has changed in iOS 12 compared to iOS 11.4 on several iPhone models, and there are improvements. Those from Apple presented the percentage changes, and there the differences seem huge, but in daily use we notice that the differences between the opening times of the applications are much smaller.

iPhone 5S, for example, is slightly faster in iOS 12 compared to iOS 11.4, but the differences are not "from heaven to earth", so you should not expect anything more substantial than a placebo. In the case of the iPhone 6S, we see that starting is more difficult, and in the case of applications, things are slightly different, but there are no colossal differences compared to iOS 11.4, at least for now.

In the case of the iPhone 8, the performance of iOS 12 in relation to iOS 11.4 seems to be similar, that is, starting is more difficult, and in the applications there are no major differences that Apple announces. Overall, iOS 12 seems to have some animations with a slightly shorter duration than in iOS 11.4, but the differences are minor, and absolutely nothing changes in the benchmarks.
