AirPods and the SPECIAL Function From iOS 12

AirPods have a special function implemented in iOS 12 by the Apple company, bringing a huge change for iPhone users around the world.

AirPods SPECIAL iOS 12 function

AirPods have a special function implemented by the Apple company starting with iOS 12, the American company transforming our phones iPhone in real microphones for headphones. The function is called Live Listen, allowing sounds to be picked up through iPhone microphones and played directly through AirPods headphones.

iOS 12 has the function available in the settings menu for activation, and so we can use an iPhone to spy on someone and listen to everything they say in the AirPods headphones. Apple implemented this function a few years ago for hearing aids with the idea of turning the iPhone into a directional microphone, but in iOS 12 it also reaches AirPods.

AirPods and the SPECIAL Function From iOS 12

Basically, if you leave an iPhone on a table, and walk away from it, in AirPods you will hear everything that is being said around that phone, so if there are people there, you will hear what they say. By function Live Listen, those from Apple have practically implemented a function through which AirPods and iPhone users with iOS 12 can spy on anyone they want, without the person knowing.

"After enabling the feature in the iPhone's settings, users will be able to use their phones effectively as a directional mic. This means you can have AirPods in a noisy restaurant with your iPhone on the table, for example, and the voice of whoever is speaking will be routed to your AirPods."

Although those from Apple have certainly implemented this function in iOS 12 and AirPods with a completely different purpose, I am sure that many will understand the one for spying. Even so, the feature itself is useful, and I'm sure many people would like to take advantage of it once iOS 12 is officially released for iPhones and iPads.
