Facebook recently confirmed a serious problem that affected a number of 800.000 users worldwide, the American company claiming that the problem appeared between May 29 and June 5 in the platform. More precisely, it seems that in the case of 800.000 people, Facebook automatically canceled the blocks applied for certain accounts by users.
Facebook says that the problem did not reactivate the friendship between the person who applied the block and the one who was blocked, but it seems that the posts of the first have become visible to the second. We are talking here only about public posts, or those shared with friends of the person's friends, so the problem itself is serious.

Facebook woke up again with a problem that affects the security of users' data, especially since the people who applied blocks could have also received friend requests from those blocked. According to those from Facebook, 85% of the affected people had only one person from the blocked list unblocked, so theoretically the disclosed data is small.
"This issue has now been fixed and everyone has been blocked again. People who were affected will get a notification on Facebook encouraging them to check their blocked list."
Facebook also announced that it will start notifying the people affected by this problem that their data could have been accessed by unwanted people. Unfortunately for users, those at Facebook fail to properly secure people's data, and problems like these will appear again.
