Apple Music has finally PASSED Spotify

Apple Music BEATS Spotify 350305

Apple Music managed, after years of suffering and offers for clients from all over the world, to pass Spotify to something, more precisely to the number of subscribers of the service available in the USA. According to a partner of Apple and Spotify, Apple Music managed to overtake the Swedish company in terms of the number of subscribers in the US, the largest market for streaming audio.

Apple Music and Spotify have over 20 million subscribers to the audio streaming services in the US, but those from Apple would easily have more subscribers, as analysts have estimated since February. The difference between the two audio streaming services would not be big, but the fact that Apple Music has surpassed Spotify in the US should give many people the idea that Apple is doing something good.

Apple Music has finally PASSED Spotify

Spotify has 75 million subscribers globally at the moment, while Apple Music has almost 40 million, so here there is still a very big difference between the companies. Moreover, Spotify has more than 100 million users globally, while Apple Music has less than 100 million, so the US victory remains just that.

"Apple Music has more paying subscribers in the United States than Spotify. The source, a US-based, major distributor, shared a report detailing the subscriber tallies of several streaming music services, including Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal, and Sirius XM. That report now ranks Apple Music as first in the United States, at least among primarily on-demand music streaming services (Sirius XM Satellite Radio, which operates in North America exclusively, has more than 33 million subscribers)."

It is interesting, however, that Apple Music manages to generate more listens for the songs released for the first time, unlike Spotify, even though it has fewer users. This discrepancy suggests that it is possible that Spotify does not report the number of subscribers so correctly, or that those from Apple "inflate" the figures, although they pay for each listen.
