Surface Phone it came to the attention of the whole world about two weeks ago, after the first images showed us what the company is preparing Microsoft for launch on global markets in not so long. Surface Phone is a foldable phone with which those from Microsoft hope to become a major smartphone manufacturer again, but shortly after the information about this device appeared, a rumor appeared that said the project was closed.
The Surface Phone is not dead, however, the Microsoft company only sending the prototypes back to the engineers who develop it to implement a series of substantial changes aimed at making it more attractive to the general public. The Microsoft company initially intended to launch the Surface Phone at the end of 2018, but the plans of the Americans have changed, and now the phone has a scheduled release date for 2019, so probably a year from now, at the earliest.

The Surface Phone is going to go through substantial design and software changes before being launched, and this is because at the moment the combination of the two does not offer a great user experience. Microsoft does not consider that at the moment the Surface Phone is sufficiently well prepared to represent the Surface brand, considered a premium one, so rather than launching a phone that has problems, it prefers to prepare it better.
"While some assumed that this means that the project is dead, what Microsoft is actually doing is sending it back to the labs to be significantly reworked. Microsoft plans to overhaul the software and hardware before releasing the device. At this time, the software and hardware do not create a compelling solution. the next possible release of the device would be in 2019 with expectations being later in the year if it were to happen."
The Surface Phone should reach the market somewhere towards the end of 2019, so quite a long time away from the period initially set by the Americans to put the phone on sale on global markets. Considering all this, the Surface Phone will arrive on the market behind Samsung GALAXY X and the foldable phone that Huawei plans to launch this fall, so it will reach a more stable market.
