Huawei: The very BAD news for Mate 20

Huawei is at the center of very bad news for the company's fans who are waiting for the release of the Mate 20 in the fall of this year, the Chinese having problems with a major change.

Huawei BAD News Mate 20

Huawei is preparing for the fall of this year the launch of a new series of premium phones, this one to be named Mate 20, and based on the history of the Korean company, three new phone models are expected. Huawei wants to reach its goal of 200 million phones sold in 2018, and to do that it will integrate a new Kirin 980 chip in its new series of phones, which will offer better performance than the current one.

Huawei had announced another important change for this Kirin 980 chip, the Chinese being at the center of rumors according to which they are going to integrate a video card of their own production in this new chip. Well, despite the fact that the rumors seemed to come from sources inside the Huawei company, the reality is completely different, and for the Mate 20 series the Chinese will not use their own video card, but something from their traditional partners.

Huawei: The very BAD news for Mate 20

Huawei is going to use a Mali video card in the Mate 20 series, just like in the models released in previous years, which are inferior to the PowerVR that Apple has been integrating into the iPhone and iPad for several years. Huawei has been developing a video card for smartphones and tablets for some time, but it seems that it would not be well enough prepared to be offered together with the Mate 20 series, otherwise it would certainly have been integrated by the Chinese.

Huawei could have had the chance to catch up with Apple in terms of the performance it offers for iPhone phones and iPad tablets, but for now it does not have good enough technology. Even if Huawei will not integrate its own video card in the phones it will launch this year, it is not excluded that in the coming years we will see a Chinese solution of its own to try to catch up with its competitors.
