Huawei officially announced today an important conference that it is going to organize right at the beginning of IFA Berlin 2018 at the end of August, the Chinese company having something completely new to present. Huawei could announce some new mid-range products at IFA Berlin 2018, but this conference is most likely meant to announce the new Kirin 980 chip that will be used in the Huawei series Mate 20 in the autumn.
Huawei is preparing this new powerful chip in which it will integrate new processors of the latest generation, and more RAM memory for the phones in the Mate 20 series, the Chinese trying to seriously compete with Apple and Samsung. The Huawei Mate 20 series is expected sometime around October/November in the stores, so in August Huawei is going to announce the "heart" of this phone, the new Kirin 980 chip, which will support the top performances of 2018.

Huawei is going to produce this new Kirin 980 chip using a 7nm manufacturing process, new ARM processors being prepared by the Chinese for the phone, they are going to offer superior performance to the Snapdragon 845 chip. Like this old chip of more than half a year will have passed is not a surprise, however it will be a big surprise if Huawei's new Kirin 980 chip equals or surpasses the new A12 chip prepared for iPhone 9 and iPhone X Plus.
