iOS beta 12 5 was launched by the Apple company with the promise that it will perform much, much better thanks to some internal changes made by the company. We are talking about reductions of up to half the time needed to access applications, or 50% reduction of the time needed to display the keyboard for writing.
Well, in the video clips below, you can see how performance has changed in iOS 12 beta 5 compared to iOS 11.4.1 on several iPhone models, and there are improvements. Those from Apple presented the percentage changes, and there the differences seem huge, but in daily use we notice that the differences between the opening times of the applications are much smaller.

iPhone 5S, for example, is slightly faster in iOS 12 beta 5 compared to iOS 11.4.1, but the differences are not "from heaven to earth", so you should not expect anything more substantial than a placebo. In the case of the iPhone 6S, we see that starting is more difficult, and in the case of applications, things are slightly different, but there are no colossal differences compared to iOS 11.4.1, at least for now.
I have to admit, however, that iOS 12 beta 5 seems to be somewhat faster on the iPhone X compared to the previous build.
