Samsung GALAXY S9 is Samsung's problem phone, because sales for it were so low in the first months that even the Samsung GALAXY Note 9 would have surpassed it in terms of pre-orders. Moving on to that though, some great news could come with Android 9, as Samsung seems to suggest a major change in strategy regarding the updates it provides for the Android operating system for customers.
Samsung GALAXY S9 already has Android 9 in testing, just three weeks after the initial version was launched by Google, a proof coming from a peer performance test done by someone. There it is visible that Android 9 is being tested on a Samsung product that does not yet have the update, the Samsung GALAXY S9 Plus being the phone in question, based on the diagonal of the screen, and its appearance also brings the possibility that the update will reach customers faster.

Samsung GALAXY S9 benefits from a technology called Treble, it being implemented by Google to separate the key elements of Android from those applied over them by the manufacturers, for the interface, and others. Using the Treble technology, the Koreans can offer the Samsung GALAXY S9 the update to Android 9 much faster than they offered in the past for other phone models, just thanks to the update of the main elements of the operating system.
The Samsung GALAXY S9 would benefit from a major advantage over the Samsung GALAXY Note 9 if it had Android 9 offered by Samsung, but also compared to other Android phone models on the market. If the Samsung GALAXY S9 will really have the update for Android 9 released much earlier than the world expected, or not, we will find out in the following weeks, as the testing process will intensify at Samsung.
