Tim Cook Earned a HUGE sum as President of Apple

The president of Apple, Tim Cook, earned a colossal amount during the time he led the American company, here is how much he still has today.

Tim Cook Won President of Apple

Tim Cook has been president of Apple for 7 years, taking over his position in the summer of 2011, after Steve Jobs announced that he could no longer fulfill his duties. When he assumed the role of Apple's leader, Tim Cook took over a company that needed major changes to recover after a period of not very good sales, and these 7 years proved that he was the perfect choice.

The reward for all the work done by Tim Cook in the role of president of Apple was adequate, because in the 7 years of activity, he received money and shares worth 701 million dollars. The amount is colossal, and the only company president who earned more during this period is Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook, although his company had much lower revenues.

Tim Cook Earned a HUGE sum as President of Apple

The majority of the amount calculated by the Americans for Tim Cook's activity is represented by the value of the Apple shares he received, more precisely 650 million dollars. The remaining 51 million dollars represent the salaries and bonuses that Tim Cook received for the performance of the Apple company, the total being incredibly high.

"In total, Cook has collected more than $650,382,235 in stock awards since he became CEO. After adding salary, and other bits of compensation, he's collected $701 million in pay since 2011, according to Equilar's analysis. Even after Tuesday's sales, he still holds over 800,000 shares of Apple, worth over $195,000,000 on Wednesday's opening price of $220.15."

From all this amount, Tim Cook would now still have shares worth about 195 million dollars, the rest being donated, probably, to various charitable organizations. Tim Cook said he wants to donate most of his fortune before he dies, something that many billionaires have promised to do, because what else can you do with so much money?
