The OnePlus 6T is going to have, most likely, an optical fingerprint reader integrated under its screen, and this is because the ultrasonic solution is not yet finalized, and anyway it is too expensive for those from OnePlus. All Chinese manufacturers use optical fingerprint readers for phone screens, so the OnePlus 6T could not make the difference, especially since this solution is very cheap and works quite well, as we have already seen.

OnePlus 6T has also confirmed that the design of the screen is going to be modified, that cutout copied from the iPhone X will disappear in favor of a much more subtle one, as you can see above. Reducing the size of the phone cutout is something that is starting to become a trend, and this is because not all manufacturers can completely remove it from the phones, so they prefer this less invasive solution, still keeping the camera in the front panel.
The OnePlus 6T will also have a slightly higher selling price than the standard model, the difference being only up to 50 dollars, although the additional functionality is much better. The OnePlus 6T could be released somewhere near the end of the year, if not at the beginning of next year, but the best chances are that it will be released in the fall of this year, to reach the stores before Christmas.
