iPhone XS and iPhone X have compared the cameras today to show us to what extent the Apple company has managed to improve the image sensors in the cameras of its phones. The iPhone XS has a 12-megapixel camera with af/1.8 aperture and 28mm focal length, just like the iPhone X, but it has 1/2,55″ and 1.4µm compared to 1/3″ and 1.22µm.

iPhone XS also comes with Smart HDR and an artificial intelligence system that aims to radically improve the quality of recorded images and video clips. Apple also promised improvements for recording photos in the dark using the iPhone XS, and in the video clips below we can see that there are some improvements, at least during the day.

The iPhone XS clearly takes slightly better pictures than the iPhone X in normal light conditions, the same is true for video clips, but the differences are not dramatic. With the iPhone XS, the images seem to be a bit more natural than in the case of the iPhone X, and this is extremely important, as many customers have been complaining about this problem until now.

The iPhone XS is, like every year and with every new model, an upgrade for the camera of the Apple phones, but just like every year the differences are not that great. Those from Apple say every time that they are making major improvements for phone cameras, but almost every time the world remains disappointed, and the same thing could happen with the iPhone XS.
