iPhone XS and WiFi/4G Problems – The New Antennagate

iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max have reported many problems with WiFi and 4G networks by users, the new antennagate being real, unfortunately for some customers.

iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max have recently reported a series of problems with the WiFi and 4G LTE networks by the customers who came into possession of the first models of phones from Apple. In the video clip below, you will see a demonstration in which the WiFi connectivity of the iPhone XS Max disappears if the phone's antennas are covered by the user's hand, exactly what happened with the iPhone 4 in the Antennagate scandal, which the world has not yet forgotten.

iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max come with new antennas implemented by Apple in the case, and looking at this clip I can confirm that if I cover all the antennas with both hands, the Wi-Fi signal drops by a dash until I remove my hands. The WiFi signal does not disappear completely, and the speed is not affected, or if it is, the percentage is insignificant, at least in what I experienced, the problem manifesting itself exactly the opposite as you can see in the clip below.

Separately, Wi-Fi speeds are just as fast on the iPhone XS Max, iPhone X, or iPhone 8 on 5GHz networks, even when the signal is weak, so I don't have the issues reported by some users. To be honest, I expected to have problems with 5 GHz WiFi networks, but luckily I'm exempt from them, but I'm curious about your experience with using WiFi networks on the iPhone XS/Max.

The 4G LTE connectivity is also very good, without problems, but if I cover the phone's antennas, the speeds drop by up to 50%, i.e. in the house from 75 Mbps to 50 Mbps, the upload speed dropping 6 times. On the other hand, the 4G LTE signal on the iPhone XS Max is sometimes even better than on the iPhone X, so I don't know what to say about the problems of other users with this type of connections, but I can partially confirm them, partially not .
