Digi announced the doubling of internet speeds for existing customers, or those who choose a new fixed internet subscription, the telecom operator practically making an extremely interesting change to its offer. We are talking about a campaign that is being carried out by those from Digi between October 15 - January 15, 2019, and it is not something we have not seen before, RCS & RDS offering double internet speeds in the past for some of the clients of its services.
Digi offers all existing customers who have DigiNet FiberLink 300 and DigiNet FiberLink 500 access to the internet speeds of the higher subscriptions, i.e. 500 Mbps and 1000 Mbps, respectively, free of charge for 3 months. Digi's offer is made with the idea of convincing customers to choose to pay the higher subscriptions for the fixed internet lines they have, and on this occasion you will also find out if those extra 6/5 lei are really worth it Pay.

Digi will have exactly the same offer for new customers who contract one of the two subscriptions, so that until January 15th they will benefit from a double speed compared to the one they have in their chosen subscription. The period in which the people from Digi run this offer for fixed internet is perfect, because more people will have this at home and use the internet, and so the operator will be able to better test the equipment's ability to support higher traffic.

Digi was the first telecom operator in Romania that offered fixed internet speeds of up to 1000 Mbps at ridiculous prices, others followed, but with much weaker results, and somewhat higher prices, in certain cases. From my point of view, Digi is currently the best telecom operator for fixed internet in Romania, with the best prices and the best performing network, and in 2019 we might see some surprises from it.
