2019 will bring a big change to the market smartphone, and this is because the Chinese manufacturers are finally giving up the ugly cutouts in the phone screens, and will replace them with what you see in the image below. More precisely, we are talking about the creation of front panels that have screens that extend from one image to another of the case, but which only have a front camera visible to the user, this being, theoretically, positioned right in the center of the phone.
Oppo is the first manufacturer that has scheduled the release of such a phone model, but apart from this company, there are many others who are eager to get rid of cutouts and offer the designs of the future. Of course, for this it is also necessary for screen manufacturers to have components prepared for such a transition, and at this moment it is clear that there is little production, which will be shared by manufacturers with somewhat lower sales.

For now, what we see above are the ideas of a graphic designer, at least in terms of camera positioning, because the smartphone design without a cutout in the screen will reach the market, with various manufacturers working on such phones. Having the camera visible under the screen does not mean that you have a cutout, and from my point of view, this is what all smartphone manufacturers should go for in 2019, including Apple, but we will not see this in the iPhone too soon.
Even if Apple is not in a hurry to offer this very interesting design for the iPhone, we will see a lot of interesting Android smartphones that will have it, and I think that many people will want to buy a smartphone with such a design. I think Apple will eventually arrive at a design like this for the iPhone, or maybe even a nicer one, but it will take a few years to make money off the iPhone X design.
