WhatsApp is preparing a new "vacation" function in the application it offers for iPhone and Android, this being discovered by those who test the beta version of the application for Google's operating system. WhatsApp has named this function Vacation Mode, and despite what the name suggests, the American company thought this functionality for the chats that users have archived within the application.
WhatsApp will have this Vacation Mode offered to allow users to keep chats archived even if they receive new messages in them, currently they are removed from the archive if a new message is sent by someone in that conversation. The function Vacation Mode comes to solve this problem, so that all the chats that are archived will remain at the same stage even if the person we are talking to via WhatsApp sends another message.

WhatsApp does not have a revolutionary function implemented through this "vacation mode", but it can prove to be very useful in the situation where you want to hide a certain conversation from the rest of the list. Basically, if you stop notifications for a certain conversation, activate this Vacation Mode in WhatsApp and add that conversation to the archive, you will no longer receive any notifications from it, you will no longer see it in the list of active conversations, and no one will know that it still exists somewhere.
WhatsApp implemented this functionality with the idea of not bringing back to attention the conversations archived by people, but there are other uses for this functionality discovered today. I am quite sure that there are many people who will enjoy the fact that they can use such a function within the WhatsApp application, but for now it is not clear when it will be officially launched by the American company.
