RCS & RDS is surpassed by Orange when it comes to fixed internet speeds recorded in our country, and this is completely surprising, considering what the two companies offer. RCS & RDS has a very well thought-out national fiber optic network, but despite this, those from Orange, who use the Telekom infrastructure to provide fixed internet, manage to include them in the speeds they offer for customers.
RCS & RDS is surpassed by Orange in fixed internet speeds according to tests recorded by ANCOM's Netograf platform, so we are not talking about data provided by Speedtest, where most of the tests are done. It is not known how many tests were registered by RCS & RDS, Orange, Netxtgen, Telekom, or UPC, but ANCOM says that in S1 2018 over 177.000 valid tests were performed, so we are talking about a very large test base.

RCS & RDS recorded average download speeds of 142.5 Mbps and upload speeds of 125.23 Mbps, while in the case of Orange we are talking about 276.98 Mbps for download and 233.04 Mbps for upload, the tests being for S1 2018. RCS & RDS is exceeded including by UPC when it comes to the average download speed, but in the case of the upload, things are completely different, the interesting fact being that, compared to 2017, Digi has not evolved much.
RCS & RDS have only marginally lower speeds for download and upload on fixed internet compared to 2017, while in the case of Orange we are talking about a huge increase, for both types of data transfer. The big problem here lies in the difference between the number of people who took tests on the RCS & RDS network, and on the Orange network, but these data have not been provided by ANCOM until now.
