WhatsApp. The other day, a director of the Telekom company made an extremely important warning about the mixing platform, recommending people not to use it if they want to keep their data safe. At the same time, he also stated that at the moment there are no less than 2.5 million WhatsApp users in Romania, a surprisingly small number, considering how popular the application is globally in 2018.
WhatsApp. 2.5 million active Romanians on the platform is a small number, considering that in the case of Facebook there are 10 million active users in Romania, so 4 times more, and the difference is huge. If the data from Telekom are really real, then it is very possible that WhatsApp does not even enjoy the popularity that everyone thought, or these figures are based exclusively on active users and in the operator's network.
WhatsApp. Here's how many Romanians use the application
WhatsApp. Globally, there are 1.5 billion active users in the messaging platform, and although in Romania there are only 2.5 million globally, the number is definitely higher, but no one knows exactly how high. It is possible that in reality there are even 4 million Romanians active in WhatsApp globally, but I think that even the company could not say clearly, and take into account those who have gone to other countries, because all the counting it is based on the country from which the platform is used.
WhatsApp. It is popular in Romania, I don't know how popular compared to Facebook Messenger, for example, but it is possible that it has a slightly smaller number of users, considering the popularity of the Facebook network. Of course, as in the case of Facebook, we are talking about registered accounts, not active users, because the figure is much too high, but in the case of WhatsApp it should be about active users, otherwise the counting would not have any logic.
