Facebook Messenger. This week a new interface for the Facebook company application was launched, but apart from this very important change, something equally important was discovered in the application. More precisely, the American company has revealed that for Facebook Messenger it will integrate a function that will allow you to view video clips in tandem with other people with whom you are having conversations, something that was not possible until now.
Facebook Messenger. The function has the name Watch Videos Together, and exactly as the name says, it will offer the possibility to view video clips at the same time with other people. Facebook launched at the beginning of this year a feature called Watch party, allowing people in a group to watch videos in tandem, and now the same functionality reaches Facebook Messenger for private conversations with other people.
Facebook Messenger. NEW function that will Amaze you
Facebook Messenger. Users will only have to send a video clip to another person, the latter receiving a special notification when they receive it, so that they know that another person wants to view it in tandem with them. When both people are in the Facebook Messenger application, that video clip will start automatically, so that both people watch the video clip at the same time, and see its content together.
This "Watch Videos Together" feature could make you spend more time on Facebook Messenger while creating shared experiences that are more meaningful and positive for well-being than passively zombie-viewing solo videos. This new approach to Facebook's Watch Party feature might feel more natural as part of messaging than through a feed, Groups or Events post.
Facebook Messenger. Unfortunately, the function will not be able to be used for video clips that are not uploaded to the Facebook network, so not for those from YouTube, Vimeo, or other video sharing platforms. Those from Facebook have not officially confirmed that they intend to launch the function for Facebook Messenger, and they have stated that they only want to do an internal test to see if its launch would be opportune, but it is quite clear that it will be offered, even if not immediately.
