Digi. Telekom, Orange and Vodafone are at the center of a very important announcement by ANCOM regarding a decision made recently, based on a change that was announced a few weeks ago. More precisely, ANCOM announced that it has finally made the decision to allow its customers transfer landline phone numbers from one county to another, and Digi and the rest of the landline operators will have to comply with this new directive.

Digi. As one of the operators with the largest number of clients of fixed telephony services, together with Telekom, it will be obliged to transfer any number from one county to another, as happens with mobile numbers. Practically, if the user moves from one county to another, he will be able to keep his fixed number, including the prefix, but porting from one operator to another will be allowed, and everyone, including Digi, will have to comply with this decision.

Digi. Telekom, Orange, Vodafone - ANCOM's MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT

Digi. We already know that this is the operator with the most gateways in the network in 2018, both for mobile telephony and for fixed telephony, with the exception of October, when those from Telekom took first place. Despite this, now everyone will be obliged to respect the customers' decisions, and it will be interesting to see if Digi will manage to return to the first position in the top of the gatekeepers, or if it will remain behind those from Telekom, as it happens in October.

ANCOM adopted the decision that allows fixed geographical telephone numbers to be used outside the geographical area in which they were allocated. Thus, users who will move from one county to another will be able to keep their fixed phone number, including in the situation where they will port to another telephone provider. The decision adopted today during the meeting of the Advisory Council will not lead to the modification of telephone numbers or to the appearance of another category of numbering.

Digi. The very good offers propelled them to the first position in the top, and I am quite sure that they will come up with others at least as good in order to continue to attract an increasing number of customers in Romania. Until then, Digi remains, like the rest, with the obligation to allow people to keep their landline numbers regardless of which county they move to, or regardless of which other network they move to, if they are no longer satisfied with what what do I get.
