Huawei. DESPERATE MEASURE taken after ARRESTING

Huawei. A desperate measure was taken after the arrest of the company's CFO, practically confirming that everything that has been said so far is true.

Huawei. The Chinese company has been at the center of a huge international scandal for several days following the arrest of the CFO, who is also the daughter of the current CEO, being accused of violating US sanctions against Iran. After the announcement of his arrest, Japan announced that it would give up Huawei products for future 5G networks, and similar information came from France and Germany, even if for now not officially, but only from members of the governments.

Huawei. In Great Britain, those from British Telecom have already announced that they will give up Chinese telecommunications equipment both for the current 4G network and for the future 5G network that will be launched. In the face of all these problems, and after the ban in 3 countries so far, the Huawei company announced that it is investing 2 billion dollars to strengthen the security of its telecommunications equipment, and to appease all the countries that have banned it, or want to forbid.

Huawei. The promise made by the company is nothing more than an indirect confirmation of the fact that the current products have problems and may have their telecommunications intercepted, probably even by the Chinese government. If Huawei had not had problems with telecommunications equipment, then it would not have had any logic to say that it invests 2 billion dollars, a huge amount, to improve its products, and to calm the countries it was in, or will be prohibited.

China's Huawei will spend $2 billion (1.57 billion pounds) as part of efforts to address security issues raised in a British government report earlier this year. It's about Huawei promising to build and manage its products better. A second person said the plan had been discussed by senior Huawei officials in China, and that the decision was made before the company's chief financial officer was arrested in Canada on Dec. 1.

Huawei. The measure is a desperate one, that cannot be questioned, but it is hard to say if it will be successful, or if everything is in vain, and the US wants to completely eliminate it from the global communication systems. Huawei says it took this measure before its CFO was arrested by Canadian authorities, and it's starting to become pretty clear that the US wasn't really lying when it said there were reasons for concern because of products made by the Chinese.
