Digi Mobile. Orange, Telekom, Vodafone will have lower prices from January 1, 2019 for the services they offer to customers, that's how big the change is.

Digi Mobile roaming

Digi Mobil. Orange, Telekom, Vodafone will have lower prices from January 1, 2019 for some services that are offered in Romania, a very important announcement was made on Thursday for all customers in Romania. According to this announcement, Digi Mobil and the other operators in Romania will have lower prices for phone calls and mobile internet that we can use while roaming, and this means that the total traffic allocated by the companies for use when we are outside the country will increase.

Digi Mobil. Orange, Telekom, Vodafone will be able to charge a maximum surcharge of 4.5 euros, without VAT, for each GB of mobile internet traffic consumed by roaming customers, 1.5 euros lower than the current value. Here we are talking about the surcharge for mobile internet that Digi Mobil, and the other operators, can charge if we exceed the traffic allocated in the subscription, this amount also being increased after the price of this surcharge has decreased.

Digi Mobil. Discounts will also be applied for phone calls made while roaming for all mobile phone operators, the surcharge for exceeding the monthly allowance falling by 7% from 0,91 to 0,85 euro cents/minute. This will not in any way affect the monthly allocation of minutes that Digi Mobil, and the other mobile operators, will have for customers, but if you run out of minutes, then you will have much less to pay for what you talk about.

Starting from January 1, 2019, as a result of the drop in the regulated tariff at the wholesale level, for most tariff plans the amount of data (MB/GB) that can be consumed while roaming in the EU/EEA[1] without the application of charges will increase additional. At the same time, in the case of exceeding the limits of the reasonable use of roaming services in the EU/EEA, the surcharges that can be applied to subsequent consumption also decrease.

Digi Mobil. Something special for the operator owned by RCS & RDS has to do with the roaming surcharge that the company already imposes on some customers, this decreasing from January 3rd from 0,91 to 0,85 euro cents/minute for minutes spoken. The changes that are not related to the surcharge imposed by Digi Mobil will apply from the first second of 2019, so if you are abroad on New Year's Eve, you will benefit from this change.
