WhatsApp. SHOCKING announcement made by the CEO of Facebook

WhatsApp. A shocking announcement was made by the CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, here is what a major change was imposed for the messaging application.

WhatsApp departure zuckerberg president of facebook

WhatsApp. The largest messaging platform today has a shocking announcement regarding its future CEO Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, being the one who revealed the novelty to the whole world. More precisely, the President of the Facebook company revealed this week that the president of WhatsApp, Chris Daniels, will leave the position he occupied in May of last year within the company, after the departure of one of the co-founders of the platform.

WhatsApp. The departure of Chris Daniels comes as a real surprise, he was brought in to make substantial changes to the application, and to implement the ads that everyone hates, even though they don't exist yet. Chris Daniels should also have overseen the retrieval of information from the WhatsApp application, plus their transfer to the Facebook company's servers, but it seems that this is not going exactly the way Mark Zuckerberg wants.

WhatsApp. The former president of the company behind the application is leaving together with Chris Cox, the man who was Chief Product Officer within Facebook, he worked for 13 years to develop the various online services of the American company. The position of CEO of the WhatsApp company will not remain vacant, following the development of the platform I will occupy Will Cathcart, the man who until now supervised the development of the Facebook application for mobile phones and tablets.

As Mark has outlined, we are turning a new page in our product direction, focused on an encrypted, interoperable, messaging network. It's a product vision tuned to the subject matter of today: a modern communications platform that balances expression, safety, security, and privacy. I'm deeply grateful for everything Chris Cox and Chris Daniels have done here, and I'm looking forward to working with Will and Fidji in their new roles as well as everyone who will be critical to achieving this vision.

WhatsApp. This is the second time that the president of the company leaves in less than a year, a sign that the changes that Mark Zuckerberg wants to make for the platform are not really to the liking of the people within the company. Although Facebook spent 20 billion dollars to buy WhatsApp almost 5 years ago, it can't really get money out of the platform as it would like, but things will not end here.

WhatsApp. It will be interesting to see how the platform will evolve under these conditions, and how many people will be involved in its management before the Americans' plans are finalized.
