Surface Phone. A few months ago, we learned the first information about this phone that Microsoft has been developing for some time, it being a foldable one, just like the Samsung GALAXY FOLD, or the Huawei MATE X. Then we were told that Microsoft would have been interested in bringing the Surface Phone to the market, but in the summer of 2018 would have taken the decision to cancel the project because the phone was not good enough to be put on sale.
Surface Phone. Well, it seems that the plans of the Americans have changed a bit, because a new patent registered for them reveals that the development process continues in Redmond. In the image below you can see the new hinge that will be used to help the Surface Phone to fold as it should, and possibly without a space remaining between the two screens when they are closed by the user.

Surface Phone. Unlike the foldable phones presented so far, the phone from Microsoft would be able to be used as a laptop when it is folded, which the current ones do not allow in any way. Still in contrast to the current phones, the Surface Phone would allow the screen to be rotated 360 degrees to allow the use of the phone as an ordinary one, something that would be truly original, perhaps even a first for this type of phones.
Surface Phone. After more than a year of development, Microsoft's new folding phone model seems to be on a straight line for launch, especially since Samsung and Huawei have already presented their phones. The Surface Phone would still be somewhat different from the competing models, and if Microsoft succeeds in launching a really interesting phone, then it could have a chance to have really popular smartphones.
Surface Phone. The launch of this phone was announced last year for the second half of this year, so hopes are very high that this product will be officially presented in the coming months.
