Apple is working on a function very WANTED by many fans

apple make id macbook

Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), still wants to bring Face ID to MacBooks around the world, and this about two years after it implemented Touch ID for its laptops. Considering that the Touch ID technology is a bit outdated, those from Apple want to move the biometric security from the fingers to the face, and this would be done through a new front camera.

Apple has described the implementation of Face ID for the MacBook since 2017, when the company also wanted to allow laptops to be turned on when a face is detected by the camera. Now those from Apple want to implement in the MacBook a Face ID similar to the one in the iPhone, and this in order to have the same experience for everyone who uses its products.

Of course, the implementation would not be easy, and those from Apple would have to buy more TrueDepth cameras, but their production has become simpler, so the time has come for Face ID to reach the Mac. It is not known how much time Apple will need to bring such an important technology to its laptops, but there is certainly great interest in using it.

It seems a given that Apple will bring Face ID to Macs sooner rather than later, now that the tech has been extended from iPhones to iPads too. We've seen today the latest in a series of Apple patent applications to do just that.
