Digi Mobil. Telekom, Orange, Vodafone, are being investigated by ANPC, the Senate, and even by the Ministry of Communications following the price increase for the services they offer in Romania at the moment. All four mobile phone operators increased prices after GEO 114/2018 was adopted, and it will remain in force with very few notable changes, and ANPC, the Senate and the Ministry of Communications are investigating the changes, Digi Mobil being the only one to cover.
Digi Mobil. The past few days there was a meeting between the representatives of RCS & RDS, ANCOM, ANPC, and more, and Orange, Vodafone, and Telekom did not participate in these discussions. Digi Mobil was the only company willing to discuss the changes made to the prices of the services it offers for customers, saying that it has not done such a thing for 10 years, so the changes should not be viewed too harshly.

On the other hand, the representatives of the other mobile operators refused to discuss this topic, probably because they were ignored by the government when they requested changes after the adoption of GEO 114/2018. Although only Digi Mobil participated in the discussions regarding the explanation of price changes, if legislative changes are made after them, all operators will be affected, and the senators plan to make changes with a very serious impact.
We have recently received a number of complaints about the unilateral way in which a telephone company wants to change prices. We have reported it and we are in the process of checking. The consumer (especially those who have contracts on phones and terminals) is put in the situation where they have to pay the last invoice and what they had to pay on these terminals. I find the way this is done quite aggressive.
Digi Mobil. It is interesting that the representatives of the RCS & RDS group stated that the legislative changes would not be related to GEO 114/2018, although the price increases came shortly after the adoption of the document. Although they did not say which company is targeted, the ANPC said that they received 3 complaints from customers dissatisfied with the price changes for mobile phone services, and it is not known if it is about Digi Mobil, or about another operator.
Digi Mobil. It will be interesting to see how these investigations carried out in Romania will end, but I would not have high hopes that anything will change for the better in the near future.
