Samsung GALAXY FOLD destroy

Samsung GALAXY FOLD. You know for sure that more than a week ago, the first cases appeared in which Samsung's foldable phones were destroyed by journalists who received units for testing. The problem appeared after the American journalists started to peel off what appeared to be a protective foil from the screens, but in reality it was a foil intended to support the functionality of the Samsung GALAXY FOLD screen.

Samsung GALAXY FOLD. Although the Samsung company did not provide many details regarding this film integrated into the screen of its phones, the press from South Korea managed to find out some useful information regarding its importance for phones. Samsung developed, in collaboration with two companies called Segye and SKC, a special film that was applied over the Samsung GALAXY FOLD screens to ensure their operation, but also to make them more malleable.

Samsung GALAXY FOLD. The foil is glued with a strong adhesive to the screen, and is an integrated part of it, so removing it requires the use of quite a lot of force, but if it is removed, it completely destroys the phone screen. The technology used to create the foil, and the whole assembly of the Samsung GALAXY FOLD screen is very complicated, so complicated that some of the Korean competitors wanted to steal the industrial secrets.

Segye Hightech, SKC and Samsung SDI participated in the protective film applied to the Galaxy Fold. This protective film is called HCAF (Hard Coat Anti-Fingerprint) film. HCAF film functions to complement the transparent PI role by protecting the display from physical impact. The ability to improve visibility was also reflected. It seems to have also played a role in complementing the somewhat lack of aesthetics in transparent PI by realizing smooth and sophisticated feeling and texture which is the unique strength of glass.

Samsung GALAXY FOLD. Even if the technological process behind this screen is very complex, and even if the film is glued well to the screen, it seems that things are not quite that simple for the Samsung people. The decision to postpone the launch of the Samsung GALAXY FOLD was also based on the fact that users could be tempted to peel off this foil from the screen, and destroy it, so that probably new warnings were applied.

Samsung GALAXY FOLD. It is not clear what effect all these changes will have, but those from Samsung are trying their best to avoid a public humiliation with their first foldable phone.
