Apple Will Completely Abandon iTunes This Month

apple gives up itunes

Company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), is preparing to make iTunes forgotten as early as June, the announcement to be made during WWDC 2019, which will start on June 3 in the USA. Preparing for this change, those from Apple have already started to remove all the iTunes pages that existed on social networks.

Apple also removes all the information, pictures, or video clips that it has published so far, all after 18 years of offering the program for customers. Apple has even started to redirect some content pages to those for Apple TV or Apple Music, all in a very important change made at the moment.

Apple has abruptly removed all social media content from its iTunes page on Facebook, including posts, photos, and videos. This appears to have happened within the past 24 hours, as a cached version of the iTunes page on Facebook still had content available as of May 31. As far as we can tell, it looks like Apple has migrated its iTunes page to its Apple TV page on Facebook, including not only all of the content but nearly 30 million likes and its original April 29, 2009 creation date.

iTunes is a program that has not received much praise from users, and its removal will certainly not upset many people. By removing iTunes, Apple will leave users without the possibility to control their iDevices from their computers, or maybe they will offer an alternative program.
