More precisely, after all the warnings last week regarding the fact that Darius Valcov, who thought up most of the changes in GEO 114/2018, will leave the Romanian Prime Minister's office, this is what happened, and it's great news for Digi Mobil, and the rest of the telecom environment.
Digi Mobil. Mobile phone operators struggled for several months to obtain changes for GEO 114/2018, and the effects it produces, as well as banks, or companies in the energy sector. They didn't get anything until recently, and now Darius Valcov has left the position of adviser to the Romanian Prime Minister, so Digi Mobil, and the rest of the telecom companies, can more successfully demand all these important changes.

Digi Mobil. The first major changes are expected to be made for the turnover tax, which is currently 3% for telecom companies, being imposed by the Romanian Government. Apart from that, there is also the problem with the amount of 1 billion euros imposed for the 5G auction, which generated a lot of criticism from Digi Mobil and the rest of the companies, but this has not yet contributed to any change for the better for all Romanians.
Digi Mobil. Of course, these changes will not be made immediately, but over time, so it will take a little patience for everything to be done, which makes the future uncertain for now. However, last week the IT committee in the Chamber of Deputies gave a negative opinion for GEO 114/2018, so there is hope that Digi Mobil, and the rest of the telecom environment, will really get rid of all these changes, without increasing service prices again.
