Apple Pay. Officially launched today in Romania, the mobile payment system is available for a variety of financial services, not only banks, but it can also be used on a varied range of Apple products. We are talking here about the possibility of using Apple Pay on the iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, or even Mac, but not all devices can make payments at POS, for reasons that are easy to understand.
Apple Pay. With iPhones, we can make payments through the Apple system both at physical POS and on the Internet, or in applications, while with iPad tablets we cannot make payments at POS, because it would be strange anyway. With the Apple Watch, if we have configured Apple Pay on the iPhone to which it is connected, we can make mobile payments exactly as if we had an iPhone, while in the case of Macs only payments in applications are available.

Apple Pay. Depending on the type of device, authentication for mobile payments is done differently, i.e. either Face ID or Touch ID is used, but the basic idea is the same. If you do not have these systems configured, then you should be asked for your phone PIN when you make a payment with Apple Pay, and it is better not to configure it with your card PIN.

Apple Pay. Which banks and financial institutions offer support for the mobile payment system?
Apple Pay. Here is the list of financial institutions that are available for use with Apple's mobile payment system at the moment:

Apple Pay. As you can see, it is about both banks and other types of institutions that offer prepaid cards and vouchers, for example, as is the case with Edenred. Unfortunately, there are some banks in Romania that still do not have support for Apple Pay implemented, so in their case it will take a little more patience until the service allows the registration of their cards.
