NASA. The American space agency published today a video clip with a map that shows no less than 4000 planets that are outside our solar system, they are known as "exoplanets". The first of them was discovered by NASA in 1992, but only a few years later a catalog of these "exoplanets" began to be created, and now we can see a video map with all those around the solar system.
NASA. The number of planets of this type discovered in recent years has grown exponentially thanks to the Kepler telescope, and in June the 4000th was confirmed, a very large number, which shows us that we are not really alone in the universe. In the video clip above, those from NASA also present the moments of the night when each of these planets were discovered by the Kepler telescope, so we also get to see them in the end.
GODMOTHER. AMAZING Map with 4000 Planets PUBLISHED (VIDEO)
NASA. The Kepler telescope was closed in 2018, but other astronomical observatories are now active to catalog the planets in outer space, 700 being found by one called TESS in just one year. NASA will certainly produce other videos in the not too distant future, because next year the EU's CHEOPS satellite will be launched to discover even more planets outside the solar system, so the catalog will grow.
NASA. In recent years, the federal space agency has published more and more images and video clips from space to present the amazing discoveries it makes on a regular basis. Videos like the one above are a way that NASA tries to get closer to the general public, and so we also have the opportunity to see what is happening outside the planet we live on.
NASA. If you carefully follow what the space agency is doing, then you will surely discover other interesting videos or pictures from outer space, and you will learn more about what surrounds you.
