GODMOTHER. A new planet with a very strange shape was discovered by the American space agency, here is what it looks like, and what researchers say about it.

An amazing discovery was made by the researchers of the famous American space agency, they managed to present to the whole world a new planet that has a very strange shape, different from what we knew until now. More precisely, using NASA's Hubble Space Telescope, researchers were able to discover a new planet that has the shape of an egg, or an American football, and it was named WASP-121b.

The researchers who discovered it claim that it is also very hot, the temperature in the upper part of the atmosphere reaching 2500 degrees Celsius, being one of the reasons why the planet has such a strange shape. NASA researchers claim that even the very close proximity to a star contributed to the deformation of the planet, and thus we have the opportunity to see that not all planets in space are round.

The very high heat also leads to the vaporization of elements such as magnesium and iron, which are released into space, including due to the force exerted on the planet by a star in the immediate vicinity. Considering the way these planets exist, NASA researchers call them "hot Jupiter planets", and of course they could never host human life, as is happening now on Earth.

"This planet is a prototype for ultra-hot Jupiters. These planets are so heavily irradiated by their host stars, they're almost like stars themselves. The planet is being evaporated by its host star to the point that we can see metal atoms escaping the upper atmosphere where they can interact with the planet's magnetic field. This presents an opportunity to observe and understand some very interesting physics."

The discovery gives researchers the opportunity to analyze more closely what happens on planets of this kind, and from this they can learn a lot for the future trips that will be made in outer space. Of course, this planet is very far from Earth, and NASA will not be able to explore it very soon, but it is possible that the analyzes will be of great help before the first people are sent to the planet Mars, in 2030.
