Yango, the ridesharing service launched in June in Romania, takes a new step to compete more strongly with UBER, Bolt, or Clever Taxi, and announced the launch of a new service for customers in the country. More precisely, Yango has the service available starting today Comfort, which allows customers to order cars that offer them a higher level of comfort than the standard ones, those from UBER and Bolt already having similar options.
Yango claims that for this service it has available cars such as: Citroen C-Elysee, Volkswagen Passat, Skoda Superb, as well as Mercedes Class C or BMW 3 Series. The price for a Yango ride with service Comfort it starts from 10 LEI, just like with Bolt or UBER, and with this money customers can make a 5 KM ride for a duration of 10 minutes, exceeding the distance and time period will be charged according to the platform's standard rates .
Yango ATTACKS UBER with a New Service for Romanian Customers
Yango was launched in Romania with lower prices than those of UBER, Bolt, Clever Taxi, initially and with better cars, and although the prices have not changed, the cars are not always the best. If at the level Comfort are the cars mentioned above, at the lower level you have the Logans and the foreign cars, but older, so the only difference compared to the rest of the services remains the money, at least for now, because this will also change in the future.

In addition to the Econom service, this new option in the Yango application allows users to order a ride with better equipped cars, carefully selected by the company, at the most advantageous rates in the Capital for this category.

During this period of time, we carefully analyzed the feedback received and the needs of our users and decided to launch the new Confort category, a service that we have successfully developed in most of the markets where we are present, confirming our dedication to customers from Romania. Thus, our users can be sure that they will have a comfortable ride in a car in a better category, for a slightly higher price, but still very affordable. On the other hand, drivers with very well-maintained cars and who show good manners in the relationship with passengers, today have the opportunity to earn even more through Yango", said Musheg Sahakian, Director of Global Expansion of Yango.
Some of the cars that Confort service users will have access to are: Citroen C-Elysee, Volkswagen Passat, Skoda Superb, as well as Mercedes C-Class or BMW 3 Series. The cars and their drivers have been carefully checked by the Yango team and its partners from the local market in order to ensure the best conditions for the Comfort category.
Rides ordered through the new Comfort option start from the price of 10 lei, which includes car reservation, a distance of 5 km and a ride duration of 10 minutes. For example, a ride from Otopeni Airport to Piața Victoriei will be around 31 lei, while a trip from Pipera to Piața Dorobantii costs around 12 lei.

In addition to the new Comfort service, Yango customers can benefit from Economy category rides. In June, the Yango application was launched with the Econom option, which offers rides at prices starting from 5 lei with a discount. Currently, payment for trips is only available via a bank card registered in the app."
