This is the BIGGEST Black Hole Ever Discovered

The largest black hole discovered so far by researchers was recently revealed, and we are talking about a huge mass compared to the one in the Milky Way.

American researchers have discovered the biggest black hole so far, I managed to analyze the cosmic space very carefully to find something that was not easy to detect. More precisely, we are talking about a black hole whose mass is 20.000 times greater than that of the Milky Way, so we are talking about a huge one that would be able to swallow many planets and stars, but the good part is that it is very far away by us.

The black hole discovered by the researchers is in the center of the galaxy Holm 15A, it is 700 million light-years away from Earth, so it does not pose any danger to us from any point of view. This black hole is 2 times larger than the one previously discovered, having a mass 40 billion times greater than that of the sun, and 10.000 times greater than that of our galaxy.

This is the BIGGEST Black Hole Ever Discovered

The black hole was discovered using a group of telescopes in Chile, which allowed them to analyze the galaxy Holm 15A in great detail so that they could also run simulations for the cosmic bodies in it. The black hole has a radius of approximately 790 astronomical units, so it is huge, and researchers speculate that some, if not all, of the stars near it were swallowed, or pushed to the edge of the galaxy.

“We find a supermassive black hole (SMBH) with a mass of (4,0 + – 0,80) x 10 ^ 10 solar masses at the center of Holm 15A. This is the most massive black hole with a direct dynamical detection in the local universe. We find that the distribution of stellar orbits is increasingly biased towards tangential motions within the core."

It is possible that an even bigger black hole exists in the universe, named TON 618, with some researchers saying that it would have 66 billion times the mass of the sun. The problem is that that black hole, unlike this one, has not been observed through any telescope to be analyzed, so for now it is not known if it is really bigger, or if everything is just pure speculation at the moment.

If a bigger black hole will be discovered, it would be interesting to see images of it, this year being the one in the Milky Way being photographed for the first time.
