RCS & RDS. A very complicated problem appeared for the Digi group in Romania "overnight", and this in the conditions that now no one expected such a development of events. More precisely, RCS & RDS is going to have problems because of the 5G network it launched with equipment from the Huawei company, and this after Klaus Iohannis concluded a pact with the USA to restrict the equipment of the Chinese.
RCS & RDS. Those from the Digi group have already used 5G equipment from Huawei in the 5G stations they have placed and activated in Bucharest and several other areas in Romania, with the intention of continuing to use equipment from them. Klaus Iohannis committed to the US to investigate whether they represent a danger to the national security of the country, the CSAT is asking for an investigation, but we can already draw the conclusion that RCS & RDS, or Vodafone, will have problems.

RCS & RDS. Both operators used equipment from the Huawei company for the 5G points that they have already activated in our country, and if the CSAT prohibits their use for reasons of national security, the situation will be complicated. Both those from RCS & RDS, as well as those from Vodafone, will be forced to remove the Chinese equipment from Huawei to replace it with others, including from some American companies, if they are offered for the networks.
RCS & RDS. As part of the agreement signed by Klaus Iohannis and Donald Trump, not only Huawei is targeted for a possible, but most likely safe, ban on 5G equipment, but also other Chinese companies. If 5G equipment were to be banned in Romania by a decision of CSAT, not only RCS & RDS, or Vodafone, would be affected, but also Orange, or Telekom, but only for 5G networks, not for the current 4G networks.
RCS & RDS. Having said that, a strong blow is being prepared for those from Huawei, including in Romania, and the current 5G networks could be affected by what could be decided in the end.
