ANPC. Change for DELIVERY TERMS and REPLACEMENT of Products

ANPC is preparing a very important change for delivery terms for products ordered online, as well as the replacement of defective products under warranty.

ANPC. Change for DELIVERY TERMS and REPLACEMENT of Products

ANPC, or the National Authority for Consumer Protection, is preparing two very important changes for the time frame in which online orders are delivered, but also the conditions under which defective products are replaced. We start with the delivery period for products ordered online, ANPC wanting to impose a maximum period of 15 working days from placing orders, which would prevent stores from making very late deliveries.

ANPC make this change not long before Black Friday, or Christmas, when traditionally delivery times for orders can easily reach even a few weeks. If the modification produced by the ANPC would enter into force, then the online stores will be obliged to deliver the products ordered online in those 15 working days, or the order can be canceled and the money requested back by the customers.

ANPC. Change for DELIVERY TERMS and REPLACEMENT of Products

ANPC also wants the products that are sent for repair under warranty to be replaced if the same defect is reported a maximum of 3 times by the respective customer. Normally, any self-respecting store should anyway replace a product of this kind sent so many times under warranty with the same defect, but since ANPC wants to impose this regulation, it is clear that this is not happening, here are all the proposals :

  • display in the cash register area of the procedure for taking complaints in stores.
  • setting the delivery term for online and offline orders at a maximum of 15 working days and communicating it both on websites and in stores
  • setting the deadline for the installation of air conditioners at a maximum of 7 days from the date of purchase of the service and updating the installation conditions accordingly
  • replacement of defective products for situations where customers claim the same defect a maximum of 3 times during the product warranty period, following an assessment by an authorized service.

ANPC also wants to force online stores to install air conditioners within 7 days from the date of purchase of the installation service, which could be quite a serious problem for them. The changes that ANPC is proposing are more than likely based on the complaints made by Romanians for the various problems they had with online stores, and they are certainly not few.
