GODMOTHER. INCREDIBLE VIDEO with the New Habitat for Astronauts

GODMOTHER. An incredible video with the new habitat for astronauts appeared on the Internet, this is how the "house" in outer space looks like where they will live on missions.

NASA. The American space agency has published a new incredible video in which it presents the new habitat that the astronauts will use in outer space, including when they reach the Moon, in the missions of 2024 and beyond. You can see above the presentation of the new habitat in which the astronauts that NASA will send into outer space will live in the future, it is currently being tested in a laboratory in Colorado before being actually sent into space.

NASA. We are talking about a structure designed on several floors, which can be inflated and deflated by astronauts, depending on the needs, it being able to support life including on the planet Mars. The tests done exclusively for the habitat have ended, those from NASA being very satisfied with the results, so now they will let three astronauts live in it for 3 days before deciding when and how they will send it into space.

The work area for NASA astronauts in the new habitat.

NASA. The habitat is so compact, with a size of only 5.4 meters, that it can be inserted into a small rocket, but it can turn into an 8x8 meter structure after inflation. You can also see from the image above that there is enough space on one floor for the NASA astronauts to work including on the computers, the pressure volume inside being 300 cubic meters, one third of that of the International Space Station.

"Johnson Space Center just finished testing this thing, where they put a crew inside for about three days — what they call a 'life test.' There you go through a simulated mission, test the functionality of the space and how well it works to accomplish the mission. We worked the human factors really hard to define it, so we had research stations, robotic workstations, crew quarters and all the things they would need to operate.”

NASA. Including other larger habitats are created by engineers so that the astronauts can work in even better conditions, but for now only tests are done for them. NASA's plans involve sending astronauts into outer space in such habitats to survive for as long periods of time as possible, and from what is seen, they will have room to carry out their routine activities as well.

NASA. This habitat will initially be tested on the moon, after the missions in 2024, and then it will be used including in the mission that will take the astronauts to the planet Mars, after the year 2030.
