RCS & RDS. Orange, Vodafone, Telekom, have a new very important obligation from the authorities, here is what is imposed on them for the citizens.

RCS & RDS. Orange, Vodafone, Telekom, have a new obligation imposed by the Romanian Government, and it affects all customers in Romania from the moment it comes into force in our country. More precisely, both RCS & RDS, as well as the other mobile operators in Romania, have a new obligation imposed by the Romanian government regarding Ro-Alert and sending messages in emergency situations to all citizens.

According to the new regulations from the Romanian Government, all telecommunications operators are obliged to update their computer systems in order to be able to transmit Ro-Alert messages. RCS & RDS, and the other operators, must work with those from STS to update their computer systems in accordance with the institution's requirements in order to be able to receive and send messages in the shortest possible time to the citizens of a certain area.

RCS & RDS. All operators must also interconnect their systems at two STS centers in Bucharest and Brasov, through which Ro-Alert messages will be received to be sent to citizens. Regarding the sending of messages, RCS & RDS, and the other operators, also have the obligation to confirm within a maximum of 3 minutes after sending a Ro-Alert message that that message actually reached the phones of the citizens targeted by it.

"The connection between the RO-ALERT System and the operators' networks will be made by the operators in two offices of STS in Bucharest and Brașov. Considering that public warnings must reach all end users located in the geographical areas affected by emergency situations, in this sense it is important to know the radio cells in the affected areas that sent the RO-ALERT message, the operators will send a confirmation message with regarding these cells within a maximum of 3 minutes after the transmission of the initial message."

RCS & RDS. Also, if there are problems with the operators' equipment that facilitates the sending of messages through Ro-Alert, the operators have the obligation to remedy them within 24 hours. The Romanian government wants Ro-Alert to work without problems in the networks of mobile phone operators RCS & RDS, and not only, so it forces them all to set up their hardware and software infrastructure, and this even though 112 has very large deficiencies , e.g.
