Digi Mobil. Orange, Vodafone, Telekom, are again at the center of important news for customers in our country, and this is because ANCOM has published the information regarding the portings that took place in August 2019. According to the data provided by ANCOM, Digi Mobil remains the most prolific mobile phone operator in Romania, continuing to register the highest number of porters.

In the case of calls made on the fixed telephony side, the operator has calls greater than the cumulative total for all other competitors in our country, which says a lot about its success. Making a separate comparison with each individual competitor, Digi Mobil has 10 times more porters in August 2019 than any other competing mobile operator, and this says a lot about its achievements.

Digi Mobil. As far as porting on the mobile phone side is concerned, there is currently no competitor for those from RCS & RDS, which is what I have seen for them over the last year. Digi Mobil has more gateways made in the network than any of the other competing operators, the difference being 2.5x compared to those from Orange, the same being true in comparison with those from Vodafone, but compared to Telekom the differences are still small.

In 2018, the operator needed these gatekeepers in the network to compensate for the large number of people who left the network, and in 2019 it is possible that the situation will be similar for them. Of course, for now we do not know this for sure since RCS & RDS has not revealed clear data regarding the evolution of Digi Mobil customers in Romania, but surely at the end of the year we will find out the relevant information regarding this evolution.
Digi Mobil. Having said that, the operator still remains the "king" of gatekeepers in Romania both on the mobile and fixed telephony side, and this will not change soon.
