Researchers have noticed that the star shines with different intensities when it is observed through their telescopes, and until now no one knew very clearly why this happens, but now there is an explanation. It seems that the remains of the "melting" moon are at the basis of the changes in intensity for the light emitted by the respective star, its natural satellite slowly disintegrating at the moment.

The star was observed for the first time in 2015, and until now researchers have been trying to find an explanation for what is happening, and in the end they have reached a clear conclusion. Researchers compare this moon to an icy comet, and pieces of it keep dispersing in the universe as it moves around its star, until it disappears completely.

"The exomoon is like an ice comet that evaporates and throws these rocks into space. Eventually, the exomoon will evaporate completely, but it will take millions of years for the moon to be melted and consumed by the star. We are so lucky to see this evaporation event happen."

Researchers are 100% sure that the star will disintegrate at some point, and I think they would be lucky if they could see such an event, but for now nothing can guarantee it. Even so, the simple discovery of the event is impressive, and this is because it took 4 years for an explanation for the star's strange activity to be discovered by researchers, and finally it exists.
