Google Chrome it is by far the most popular browser on the planet at the moment, and a drastic measure was recently taken for it by the Google company, with the idea of protecting millions of people. More specifically, those at Google decided to remove from the Chrome Web Store for Google Chrome a series of adblock extensions that were thought to make money off the backs of the users who used them.
About a week ago, Google Chrome removed a series of extensions of this kind, and in the second round of exclusions, those from Google also removed others, used by millions upon millions of people. Some of the extensions that were removed from the Google Chrome store were copies of other popular ones, but they quickly became popular, even though they were making good money from those who used them in their everyday lives.

Google Chrome is the target of hackers because good money can be made from its users, estimates made by companies specialized in computer security say that these extensions have generated many millions of dollars. These extensions for Google Chrome were designed to start displaying ads outside the browser screen, or affiliate links, while hiding the ones on the websites a few tens of hours after installation.
Google Chrome was also affected from another point of view, the extensions inserting malicious cookies into web pages, these being taken from affiliate marketing services. Thanks to them, the hackers were making money every time users bought something through Google Chrome, and all without lifting a finger, the money "flowing" every day in very large numbers, but those from GOoel seem to have stopped this practice.
Google Chrome is quite well protected by the Google company, but sometimes some extensions end up being published in the store or with problems of this kind, being removed quite quickly.
