NASA included in the list of top 10 asteroids that have a high chance of hitting the Earth a new rock whose name is SU3, it was discovered during September by the American space agency. This asteroid was discovered at a fairly large distance from Earth at the moment, and according to NASA, it has a 1 in 400 chance of hitting our planet in 2084, if it will not be substantially deflected by then.
NASA very rarely includes asteroids in this top 10 of rocks that have the highest chances of hitting the Earth, and the estimate of 1 in 400 is something we very rarely see from Americans, most estimates being 1 in a few tens of thousands. This time, however, the people from NASA discovered a very large rock heading towards the Earth with substantial speed, and this started to scare the world, even though the vast majority of those alive now will no longer be around then.

NASA claims that this asteroid has a diameter of about 15 meters, so if it hit the Earth it would cause significant destruction, but it is possible that it is not about the loss of human lives. Theoretically, an asteroid with a diameter of this kind should be completely disintegrated by the atmosphere by then, but with the way things are going with global warming, anything can happen until then, so NASA considers it dangerous.
“3 SU2019 is a new object that entered our top 10 risk list at the end of September for a possible impact with a 1 in 400 chance of occurring in the year 2084. The small size of about 15 meters (49 feet ) would result in limited consequences, even in the event of impact.”
NASA also discovered another very dangerous asteroid this year, this one being placed third in the list of those that have a very high chance of hitting the Earth. This asteroid has a diameter of 26 meters, and it could hit the Earth during the year 2082 according to those from NASA, and in this situation it could be about much greater destruction, considering that the diameter is almost double.
NASA keeps this list so that everyone knows what kind of danger exists on the planet right now, but none of the asteroids out there have a chance of hitting Earth any time soon.
