RCS & RDS is the largest telecommunications operator in Romania, and has millions upon millions of customers throughout the country, and for some of them comes bad news that they didn't know about until now. On October 21, those from RCS & RDS updated the map with the 3G coverage in Romania, and unfortunately this reveals a very large discrepancy between the voice and internet coverage enjoyed by Digi Mobil customers in Romania.
RCS & RDS show us in the images below that there are very big differences between the signal strength for making phone calls, or using the Internet from your own mobile phones. The 3G coverage of those from RCS & RDS is much better for phone calls, but that's outside the buildings, not inside, while the coverage on the Internet side is lower, the intensity of the colors showing how good the signal is.
RCS & RDS: The BAD News, what Many Customers DON'T KNOW
RCS & RDS has very bad internet speeds on the 3G mobile internet side, but this is not exactly news for customers, they have been facing this problem for a very long time. The update from October 21 shows us that RCS & RDS still hasn't solved anything on this side, customers are still left with the same experience when it comes to using mobile services, and it's good for everyone to know that.
RCS & RDS launched its network based on 3G technology, and over time it has significantly improved the quality of services, but despite the investments, for now it still has quite a few problems regarding them. This discrepancy in the quality of telephone services from RCS & RDS for calls and internet will not disappear even after the acquisition of Telekom, and this is because there are similar problems for customers there, only at higher prices.
RCS & RDS still has a 5G network launched, and has also launched a 2G one, so some of the services are being improved by the telecommunications operator at the moment.
