Tomorrow, Netflix will release a set of stand-up comedy series from Seth Meyers, called "Lobby Baby", and for this series it will include a button in the premiere that will allow you to "skip" over certain jokes made there.
Netflix was asked by Seth Meyers to add a button that would allow people to "skip" jokes about Donald Trump, all probably with the idea of avoiding offending those who support the US president. The idea itself is a very good one, especially for stand-up comedy series, where there are jokes that can offend a variety of people, so Netflix most likely made the right decision to accept Seth Meyers' request.

Netflix tested buttons this year that allow people to choose between two narrative threads for series, and it seems to have been successful, so now it's moving on and trying something new. Before a joke about Donald Trump is told by Seth Meyers in his series, Netflix will display a button that allows people to "skip" over it in order not to be upset by what the comedian will tell them.
But for those who are sick of comedy that's tainted by politics, Meyers said he asked Netflix to create a button for viewers to opt out of watching that segment, the same way Netflix users can bypass the opening credits with "jump in" button at the top of some of its programs."
Netflix is the first video streaming platform that implements a button of this kind for users who watch movies and series, but most likely others will have similar options available soon. Netflix is doing this to eliminate the "well wishes" that Seth Meyers would receive in the event that Trump's supporters would be upset because of what they will hear, so he is saved a long time ago.
Netflix has not announced whether it will implement similar options for other series that are available on its platform, but it is unlikely that it will not do so.
