Windows 10 is going to have solved very soon a very old big problem that users have been facing for a very long time, and which has generated a lot of frustration for everyone, but it seems that it will end. More precisely, Windows 10 is going to have solved in the spring of next year a problem of the computer search system that dates back to 2018, but which Microsoft has not solved until now.
Windows 10 then implemented much more advanced functions for searching for files in computers, and not only that, everything was thought to be faster, but before getting there it was necessary to index the files. Well, this indexing of files turned out to be a very big problem for computers, as many of them had their resources completely blocked by this process, which annoyed a lot of people.
Windows 10 will have a very OLD BIG PROBLEM SOLVED
Windows 10 has over time had various solutions for this problem implemented by those from Microsoft, but none of them managed to fully fix everything that was thought wrong from the very beginning. Well, another attempt to solve this problem of Windows 10 is being prepared for the update from the beginning of next year, with Microsoft making other substantial changes to their operating system.
“Based on [feedback from May 2019 update testers], we're introducing an algorithm that detects high disk usage and disk usage so that it can better identify times of peak usage and manage the indexer accordingly. We are also making changes for developers to prevent searches of certain repositories and project folders to improve disk usage.”
Windows 10 will have implemented a more advanced system that is meant to detect if this indexing consumes too many resources of a computer, and will substantially reduce its activity, to the point where it will stop. This is practically the only solution that Microsoft has found for Windows 10 in order to solve this very serious problem, but only in the spring we will find out if everything is solved for everyone.
Windows 10 will have the update with this solution released in April or May 2020, so there is still a very long wait ahead until something good could happen about it.
