Huawei: First UNEXPECTED GOOD NEWS, THE IMPACT on Customers

Huawei has a first unexpectedly good news, it also has a very big impact on the customers who buy the Chinese company's products.

huawei microsoft licenses

Huawei was yesterday at the center of a very important announcement that came after many months in which the company was under the effect of some bans that the USA imposed against it, and which affected its activity. The US approved approximately 75 requests from American companies that asked to resume commercial activities with Huawei, and among them are those from Microsoft, which received the license to resume exporting products to the Chinese from now on.

Microsoft confirmed to the press that it received permission from the US Department of Commerce to deliver to Huawei any software or physical products they need, including Windows 10 for laptops. Those from Microsoft claim that on November 20 their request to resume commercial activities with Huawei was approved, the American government needing many months to analyze the request and make a decision about it.

Microsoft can also license Windows 10 for Huawei

Huawei can still sell laptops with Windows, but also sell server systems with Microsoft's operating system, and this is extremely good news both for the Chinese and for all their customers. Huawei announced in the summer that it can no longer pre-install Windows 10 in the laptops it sells, choosing to offer a free version of Linux, which of course does not offer the same user experience for customers all over the world.

Microsoft and Huawei can now resume selling cloud solutions that they created together, the project being suspended by the companies after the US decided to impose Donald Trump's sanctions against the Chinese. From here it is expected that other companies will announce that they can resume collaboration with those from Huawei, and the most important announcement is expected from Google, considering that Android 10 cannot now be licensed for Chinese phones, unfortunately.

Huawei is still waiting to see which other companies have received licenses to resume commercial activities with it, and although they appear to have been approved on November 20, Google has yet to say anything about it.
