STS makes a very important announcement regarding the 2019 Presidential Elections, here is what the authorities say regarding the second round of voting in Romania.

STS, Special Telecommunications Service, made a very important announcement before the 2019 Presidential Elections in Romania, the institution will be in charge of processing all the information regarding the Romanians who vote tomorrow. According to those from STS, at the moment no less than 1600 specialists within the institution ensure the functioning of the communication infrastructure necessary for the 2019 Presidential Elections in optimal technical parameters.

The 2019 Presidential Elections are taking place both in Romania and abroad, and STS provides a permanent service throughout this period so that people can vote without any interruption somewhere. Those from STS take on their own tablets information regarding the identity cards of the people who vote in the 2019 Presidential Elections, including those regarding the signatures given by people, all to avoid multiple voting.

STS ensures that the 2019 Presidential Elections take place in very good conditions

Today, STS will also conduct the training for those who will be in the polling stations in Romania for the 2019 Presidential Elections, so there will be a few very busy hours for those who make sure that we vote in the best conditions. More than that, for the 2019 Presidential Elections, the STS has a specialized center in each county to handle any kind of calls related to problems with the operation or use of its equipment.

"At the level of the Special Telecommunications Service, throughout this period, the permanence of staff is ensured, 24 hours a day, in the call centers. We are ready to provide technical support where required. A positive aspect confirmed in the first round is the signature taken in digital format at the polling stations abroad, because in this way the time taken to retrieve voter data was considerably reduced. We also have a direct collaboration with the Permanent Electoral Authority to urgently report any possible dysfunction and take appropriate measures."

STS has distributed in Romania over 25.300 tablets that will be used in the voting stations, between 4 and 11 being placed in each of them so that the voting process takes place in the best possible conditions. During the first round of voting for the 2019 Presidential Elections, there were no problems with the STS tablets and system, so it is expected that even now everything will take place in the best possible conditions.

The 2019 Presidential Elections have already started abroad, with almost 300.000 Romanians voting both in the polling stations and by mail, and tomorrow morning at 07:00 the voting process will begin including in Romania.
