Orange, Telekom, RCS & RDS, Vodafone from January 1, 2020, they are obliged to reduce the prices for a service they offer to all customers in Romania, and this is very good news for all Romanians who are their subscribers. The announcement was made by those from ANCOM, who discussed with the representatives of the operators, and reached an agreement to reduce the tariffs for telephone calls, from 0.84 euro cents/minute to 0.76 euro cents.

Orange, Telekom, RCS & RDS, Vodafone have agreed to this 10% discount for phone call prices since a few months ago, it was also sent for approval by the European Commission, which also agreed. The change is one that will also be felt at the European level, by the end of 2020, the prices of telephone calls will be further reduced for customers throughout the European Union.

Orange, Telekom, RCS & RDS, Vodafone and Lycamobile are obliged to apply the new tariffs starting from January 1, 2020, as they are the most important mobile operators in Romania at the moment. The new rate established after discussions with ANCOM will apply to national calls and those initiated from the European Economic Area, but also to other countries, if there are no higher rates established by other agreements.

"Starting from January 1, 2020, mobile operators operating on the Romanian market will charge a maximum rate for termination of calls to mobile points of 0,76 eurocents/minute, down 10% compared to 0,84 eurocents/minute , as it currently is. This regulatory measure has already been consulted with the Romanian industry and has now also received the approval of the European Commission."

Orange, Telekom, RCS & RDS, Vodafone and Lycamobile together have over 30 million customers in a country with 18 million people, and this price change will apply to all subscriptions and prepaid card options. Everyone will enjoy it starting from January 1, 2020, so if you have a subscription, or option, with national minutes included, their number should increase.
