DIGI | RCS & RDS is the third largest telecommunications operator in Romania at the moment, and a very important decision that scared many customers in Romania turned out to be very beneficial. It will soon be almost a year since DIGI | RCS & RDS decided to increase the prices for the services they offer in Romania, and some customers were scared then, even if in the end it was about very small increases.
DIGI | RCS & RDS then took that decision due to GEO 114/2018, which is already a year old, and shortly after these price increases were imposed, the ANPC fined the company and blocked the change. A few months later, and after several court hearings after contesting the ANPC decision, those from DIGI | However, RCS & RDS decided that they must continue with the investments, and in addition to the 5G network, they launched the 2G one.

DIGI | RCS & RDS said at the beginning of this year that these price increases for services in Romania are meant to assure us that they will continue investing to bring us only the best possible services. Until now DIGI | RCS & RDS kept their word, although ANPC somewhat spoiled the plans, but the company will get everything it wants, especially since the provision of GEO 114/2018 regarding the new turnover tax disappears completely.
DIGI | RCS & RDS therefore has more money to invest in better services for its customers, and all those who were scared of increases then will only enjoy much better services from 2020. We all know what the benefits are brought by the 5G networks, but separately from them, we also all know that the 2G network of those from DIGI | RCS & RDS brings an even greater improvement to mobile telephony services in Romania.
DIGI | RCS & RDS was only the first operator to scare its customers with price increases, others followed its example, but of all, for now only this one makes investments in line with its customers' expectations.
