The simple change in the name of the series from Samsung GALAXY S11 to Samsung GALAXY S20 was something unexpected, but the appearance of a model with the name Samsung GALAXY S20 ULTRA is something that will amaze even more of the Korean customers.
Samsung GALAXY S20 ULTRA is the name that the Samsung company would like to use for the phone that has a 6.9-inch diagonal screen, i.e. the largest model in the entire series, and the decision seems logical. If we think about the fact that the Samsung GALAXY S20 ULTRA really has a very large screen, this name seems to be used quite logically by the Korean company, especially since other manufacturers do exactly the same.

Samsung GALAXY S20 ULTRA will be the largest phone in the series, but Samsung GALAXY S20 Plus will be the name for the medium-sized model, which would have a not so small screen with a diagonal of 6.7 inches. The Samsung GALAXY S20, which you probably have Lite, will be the smallest model in the entire series, and will have a screen with a diagonal of 6.2 inches, that is, slightly smaller than the one offered for the Samsung GALAXY S10 at the moment.
OMG! It seems like Samsung is going all "Pro Max" with the Galaxy S11 Series naming(???). It makes sense there's no S20e but S20, S20+ and S20 Ultra! The Samsung GALAXY S20 ULTRA is an answer to the iPhone 11 Pro Max, an equally strange name chosen by Apple for their phones, but since 2019 was the year of strange phone names, why not 2020 as ? Samsung GALAXY S20 ULTRA will certainly attract a lot of attention with this name, and it is perfectly normal for this to happen, the name being perfect for the big screen.
The Samsung GALAXY S20 ULTRA, together with the rest of the models in the series, will be launched on February 11 or 18, 2020 in a presentation that will take place in San Francisco, not in Barcelona, as in other years.
